Prescription Drug Benefits Added for 2007

Beginning January 1, 2007, all Celtic Basic and CeltiCare II policies in the states listed below will have a basic prescription drug benefit added to the policy. Initially the prescription rug benefit is available in AZ, AR, CA, CO, DC, DE, KS, LA, MI, MO, NC, OH, SC, SD, TX, WI, WV and WY. The benefit will be added to the policies in other states as soon as the change is approved by each state's insurance department.  (Note that current federal tax law controlling Health Savings Accounts does not allow this additional prescription drug benefit benefit to be provided to Celtic HSA policies because such policies require a comprehensive high deductible)1. Rx Benefits were added in AK, CT, GA, IN, MD, MS, NH and TN on April 1, 2007. As of April 1, 2007, a prescription drug benefit is now included in the base plan for the CeltiCare II plan in Alaska, Connecticut, Georgia, Indiana, Maryland, Mississippi, New Hampshire and Tennessee. A prescription drug benefit is now included in the base plan for the Celtic Basic products in Alaska, Georgia, Indiana, Mississippi, New Hampshire and Tennessee.

The Rx card is valid at all pharmacies in the PharmaCare network. Access to pharmacy network details will be provided by mail to all qualified policyholders.

The change affects all previously issued policies and all new policies issues in 2007.  There is no increase in premium cost for this additional benefit.

The chart below summarizes the benefits.  See your policy for more complete information.
