1/9/2010 Update: Centene Corporation has announced plans to sell its New Jersey health insurance operation pending state approval.
Celtic Insurance is one of the few commercial insurance companies issuing individual health insurance in the state of New Jersey. This coverage can be very expensive and Celtic Insurance is often the most expensive of the insurance carriers available. Celtic Insurance does have a good consumer reputation that might justify the higher cost for some individuals, but the stated benefits are the same as those included in less expensive policies. For this reason, this insurance is offered primarily to the few applicants who rely on the quality of the insurer and are not significantly affected by cost.
